Make your own non-toxic incense by hand with herbs. Using traditional methods.

Come join me to learn to make your own non-toxic incense by hand.

The Workshop will cover:

  • Reasons to make your own incense.

  • Uses of different plants in incense making.

  • Uses of igniting materials.

  • Hands-on-incense-making.

  • Drying and storing.

  • Picking plants or resins that will work with your intentions/deities/planetary alignments.

  • Working in ceremony

Supplies you will need:

  • 3 to 4 organic dried herbs/flowers (recommendations of any of the following, lavender, rosemary, damiana, rose petals, elderflower.) (Online stores Mountain Rose herbs or Starwest) or your local herbalist. (please do not buy woody herbs or resins)

  • Makko powder (can be found on Amazon)

  • Essential oils (1 is fine) (recommendations- lavender, rosemary, geranium, ylang ylang, pine, vetiver)

  • Mortar & pestle (recommend a suribachi or mexican stone, but if you already own one use that) (can be found on Amazon or cooking supply stores)

  • Coffee grinder or blender

  • A few bowls, spoons, chopsticks

  • kitchen scale.

  • Measuring spoons and dry cups

  • wooden tray or piece of untreated wood (chopping board)

This is a very small workshop with limited space of only 20 spots.
